Immersion 3D is included in the Canal Plus Web Site feature on haptics
This glove is a prototype that was presented for the first time at SIGGRAPH 97 by Immersion 3D (formerly Virtual Technologies, Inc.)

"A good application for this product is in the automotive industry. You can sit in a car seat with a steering wheel in front of you and everything else is virtual. Wearing a head-mounted display, you can reach in an interact with the air conditioning knobs or the stick shift, for example, to ensure that positioning is optimal and to improve the vehicle's ergonomics."
