InterSense IS-900 Tracking Systems
The IS-900 provides accurate position and orientation (6 DOF) data for the CyberGlove®, CyberTouch™ and CyberGrasp® by using a hybrid tracking technology of inertial and ultrasonic components. This solution provides smooth, precise tracking that is free from interference caused by metallic environments or ultrasonic noise. The system is extremely flexible in design and easily configured to track applications that range from large immersive displays to small training simulators. The system will track up to 7 devices simultaneously and offers wireless tracking with the addition of optional radio frequency modules. The IS-900 MiniTrax Hand trackers (available in both left and right handed versions) conveniently mount on back side of both the CyberGlove, CyberTouch or CyberGrasp to provide uniform tracking performance throughout the entire tracking volume.

IS-900 Configurations
The IS-900 is available in several different configurations depending on tracking volume requirements. The tracking volume of an IS-900 system is defined by an array of ultrasonic transmitters that are placed strategically throughout the tracking volume. For simple desktop or small area simulator applications, InterSense offers a variety of convenient fixed frames that are factory calibrated and easily mounted in your environment. The SoniFrame provides quick and mobile set-up for small, tracked areas of up to 2 x 4 meters. The SoniWing is perfect for tracking individuals inside of virtual cockpits or similar training vehicles. For CAVE-like, PowerWall or other large area applications, the IS-900 VETracker supports up to 7 tracked devices over a 140 sq. meter area.
