The International
Forum on the Future of Simulator Education in China
The
International Forum on the Future of Simulator Education in China
was held in the Great
Hall of the People in Beijing on November 8, 2008. The purpose of the
Forum was to promote medical education and the role of simulation
for improving clinicians' practical skills. To
exchange ideas and learn from each other, the Forum established
a high-level platform for experts in medicine and medical education in
China and abroad.
A number of experts addressed the audience of over 100 and held in-depth
discussions on simulation education. Immersion President and CEO Clent
Richardson spoke, and staff from Immersion Medical provided
hands-on demonstrations, which gave attendees a better understanding of
simulation education.
The
forum was co-hosted
by Beijing Xianghuan International AD-Media Co., Ltd., the China
Medicine Education Association (CMEA), and Immersion
Medical.
The
event resulted in more
than 30 online and print news articles including a very impressive two-page
article in CBN Weekly
elaborating Immersion’s leadership in developing haptic technology
and introducing details about its medical simulators.
