Launched Mobile Phones Using Immersion's VibeTonz® Platform
Several recently introduced handsets with Immersion’s haptics technology
have generated a great deal of market interest:
 |
The
Soul (SGH-U900) is Samsung’s flagship phone for 2008,
introduced with parties named for it at Mobile World Congress. The
Soul sets a new standard in the bar handset category with elegantly
brushed metallic body and state-of-the-art design – in five
luscious colors. Not only is the Soul sleek and stylish, it’s
fully equipped with 3-megapixel camera, office document viewer and
editor, full speed Internet access, Bluetooth 2.0, music player,
video editor and recorder, FM radio, and best of all -- three intensity
levels of forced feedback. The Soul is destined for availability
throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia (China), Southwest
Asia, Southeast Asia, and South America. |

|
The
Samsung Tocco (SGH-F480) takes its name from the Italian
word for touch. Solid, compact, lightweight, with three main buttons
and a capacitive (finger friendly) touchscreen, the Tocco packs
an autofocus face-and-smile-detection 5 megapixel camera, full-speed
Internet access, dual cameras for video calling, FM radio, RSS reader,
screen customization via drag and drop widgets such as music player,
clock, calendar, games, and picture viewer – and fast, responsive,
adjustable haptic feedback for touchscreen presses. |
 |
Besides
an ultramodern design, the LG Incite (CT810) boasts
an autofocus 3 mexapixel camera/camcorder, full-speed Internet access,
domestic and international 3G capabilities, built-in GPS with turn-by-turn
voice and onscreen directions, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth 2.0, Office
Mobile, music and video players, and 3-inch touchscreen with QWERTY
keyboard in landscape mode, 20-key keyboard in portrait view, and,
of course, haptic feedback. |
