Case Study Gallery: Maya

Model Car by Todd Nonstop Campbell

"Modeling this car using Maya 2.0 with the MicroScribe® 3D proved to be one of the most enlightening experiences. The ease of use and the quick results I got with the tool shaved off at least two days of modeling time.

The first thing I did was to create a curve network. This allowed for me get an overall shape of the model. With the curve network done, I used the Birail2 to create the surface patches using the edit surfaces - I rebuilt the curves and aligned them to form a "seamless blend". Most of work was already accomplished by the MicroScribe. Maya's toolset allowed me to effectively construct the model using the initial curve network as a template."
