Nike Sunglasses Case
Courtesy of Todd Nonstop Campbell

To begin the modeling process, I gridded sections of the Nike case to create a curve network. Next, I edited and rebuilt the curves. Then, using the birail 2 tool, I created patches, aligned them, and then attached them to form the outer surfaces.

The Nike symbol was created from an extruded planar surface with the smooth inner circle of the symbol created from trimming the surface of the front panel.

The 3D MicroScribe arm gave me an accurate representation of the real world object. The ability to utilize my time modeling, rather then speculating the shape of the case in 3D space, proved be the most efficient way for me to get this project completed in a short time."
