solidThinking is a Class-A surface modeler with Construction History for real-time update when modifications are made to curves, parameters or surfaces. Thanks to the full OpenGL support, NURBS and polygonal modeling offers the greatest interactivity.

The most advanced modeling tools and the numerous construction aids enable you to create any shape you can think of. solidThinking offers the most complete set of surface creation tools, including sophisticated tools like CurvesNetwork, N-Side, Blending, Surface Tangency Align, Fillet, Round, Simplify, Surface Intersections, Trim Curves, the exclusive Make Manifold and many others.

solidThinking also features an advanced polygonal modeler with support of n-side polygons. The unique implementation of Interactive Subdivision Surfaces with Construction Tree grants maximum power for refinement and smoothing of polygonal meshes.

The Construction Tree is a fundamental structure of solidThinking. It gives you real-time update when modifications are made to curves, parameters or surfaces. This way, thanks to the possibility to freely manipulate your models, you can easily experiment new shapes and improve your creativity. Evaluation tools include: surface area, volume, distance between two points, length of a curve, length of a part of a curve, and real-time curvature and tangency continuity. Surface-curvature-evaluation shaders are ideal for automotive and product design.

Once you have created your models, you can then take advantage of a truly comprehensive rendering system integrating all industry-leading techniques, and, in particular wireframe, hidden-line, Flat, Gouraud and Phong shaded, scan-line, ray-trace.
