An Immersion Studio® for Gaming main effect editing window and several compound effect windows. The effect graphic can be edited using handle bars, sliders, or fill-in fields and can be played through a peripheral using the Start button at the center top of the screen. Alternately, the peripheral can be programmed to play the effect using the button window in the lower left.

A compound effect file used when the gamer picks up a futuristic weapon called an ASMD. The “Generic Click” tactile effect (the third graphic from the top, in green) emphasizes the clicking sound followed by steadily growing vibrations matched to the sound profile (bottom graphic in blue) of the weapon charging up.

The 8Ball Fire missile launcher’s initial blast (the fourth graphic in green), followed by simultaneous fading vibrations (first and second graphics), and the reverberation of the missile exploding (third graphic), all orchestrated in time to match the sound profile.
