Tactile Feedback Touchscreen Demonstrator The Touchscreen Demonstrator, a TouchSense-enabled 8.4-inch LCD touch monitor with example host applications, makes it easy to evaluate the capabilities of Immersion’s tactile feedback technology. The Demonstrator is a good way to quickly test and evaluate the use of tactile feedback for your markets and prospects. The product comes ready-to-use with all the components of our offering — actuators, controller, and software — fully integrated. See also the Demonstrator data sheet (pdf). When the Demonstrator screen is touched, the demo host application commands the haptic controller to play a specified tactile effect, creating the perception of touching physical buttons and switches. Only the demo application software, which includes the appropriate commands, will supply tactile feedback out-of-the-box. You can purchase the TouchSense SDK to add the appropriate commands to your customers' applications using any host or embedded environment via a USB port and show these custom applications on the Demonstrator. Tactile Feedback Demonstrations The three included demo applications allow sound and tactile feedback to be turned on or off independently, helping you evaluate the additive impact of touch.
