Q: One or more parameters give no response during initial
calibration.
Q: I don’t get any force feedback at all.
Q: When trying to recalibrate my CathSim one or more parameter
gives no response.
Q: Can I set the CathSim system up myself?
A: It depends on your computer background. If you have the knowledge to
set up a computer and with the help of the user manual, you should be
able to set up the system and use it.
Q: What is the Administrator password for Windows?
A: Immersion Medical sets the Windows password to be a blank. If this
password is changed by the end user, Immersion Medical will not be able
to help you if you become locked out.
Q: How do I access the administrator program
for CathSim?
A: On the CathSim logon screen use “administrator” as the
user name and "admin" as the password. All letters must be in
lower case.
Q: What is the default user name and password
for CathSim?
A: To access the CathSim software as a general user type "guest"
as the user name and "guest" as the password. All letters must
be in lower case.
Q: Why will the needle not fully extract from
the patient in the simulation even though I have fully extracted the needle
from the CathSim, the simulation then “hangs”?
A: Recalibrate the device using the “Calibrate CathSim“ icon
on your desktop. If the problem still persists, call Immersion Medical
for further support.
Q: Why don’t I get any “flashback”
immediately when I enter the vein?
A: Try using the side view and transparent view to make sure you have
accessed the vein properly. If you are still unable to get a flashback
then please contact Immersion Medical for support.
Q: Why is there no video?
A: Make sure the monitor is plugged in and the PC is turned on. Check
the monitor cable is connected to the PC.
Q: Why is the simulation slow or choppy?
A: Immersion Medical software requires a third party graphics card which
is installed in every CathSim computer we sell. Please make sure that
the monitor is plugged into the add-in video card and not the onboard
video that is located on the motherboard.
Q: Why is there no sound coming from my computer?
A: Make sure the volume is turned up on the speakers and on the computer.
Be sure the speaker cable is plugged into the green speaker port on the
back of the computer and into the correct port on the speakers.
Q: Why is the computer telling me I have 30
days left on my trial or my trial has expired?
A: The modules you purchased are fully activated when the system is shipped.
Modules that were not purchased have a 30 day trial. After 30 days, the
trial will expire and you will no longer have access to them unless they
are purchased.
Q: I just purchased a new module. Why is it
still telling me that my trial has expired?
A: You must contact Immersion Medical for the activation code to access
the module. Once our support team verifies the module(s) that you have
purchased, they will need the key code that is located on the module activation
screen to generate your activation code. Once they give you the activation
code the module will be fully activated.
Q: One or more parameters give no response during
initial calibration.
A: Check the jumper in the USB box. For CathSim with no PICC it should
be in the front slot. For CathSim with PICC it should be in the rear slot.
Q: I don’t get any force feedback at all.
A: If this is with PICC recalibrate the Cathsim and make sure to check
the “with PICC” box. If not using PICC, try power cycling
the USB power.
Q: When trying to recalibrate my CathSim one
or more parameter gives no response.
A: Cycle the power to the USB box.
